This little contraption is the follistim pen that injects the meds.
Easy as 1-2-3.... insert a vile of the meds, dial up the dosage you need to inject, insert the needle below the bellybutton, push the button- and voilĂ meds dispensed! The needle is small so it didn't hurt as much as I had imagined. The injection site is a little tingly but not unbearable by any means.
For another example of "I'll try anything", I purchased the Circle + Bloom IVF meditation program today. Thank you to A at Remember All The Way for introducing me to this site. I listened to my first session today and it was awesome!
I also want to say thanks again to my family and friends that came out last night- it was wonderful to see everyone and we had a fantastic time!

Wow, that does look easy!
ReplyDeleteGlad it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be!
I just did my last Follistim (and more) about 35 minutes ago and by the last one I didn't even feel the follistim pen needle going in. I'm so excited for you - congrats!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you liked the c+b!! I am loving my series also.
ReplyDeleteAnd back when I did follistim, I thought they were super easy, too. At least something in this journey is easy!!
Thanks for following my blog, looks like I get to follow you at a really exciting time!!!! The shots are way scarrier than they sound. Congrats on your first one being under your belt, literally!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the follistim was easy peasy. I used C&B for my last IVF cycle and I loved it. Thanks for the follow, I'll be following back.
ReplyDeleteSunday was my first day of Follistim as well! Best part is that the Steelers won on Saturday which made the sting a little easier!
ReplyDeleteWhen we got the Follistim pen last week I just *might* have squealed like an excited little girl. It's so cute! And nerdy! And so damn idiot proof!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your cycle, and I'm glad to know that others like the C+B program. I bought it for our IVF cycle, but haven't listened to any of it yet.
