10 weeks today!

Well I'm happy to report that I've made it to double digits!  I'm still nervous from time to time but I'm feeling a little more relaxed about everything and I'm just going with it.

According to Babycenter.com, this week our little one is the size of a kumquat or a prune, is a little over an inch or so long, and weighs less than a quarter of an ounce.   This week is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in the body rapidly grow and mature. The baby is swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs — including his kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) — are in place and starting to function.

As far as how I'm feeling....pretty good!  I'm hungry all the time and can go from fine to starving in no time flat.  The weird part is that even though I'm starving, it's hard to find things that sound good to eat.  Last night all I wanted was blueberry pancakes so that's what we had.

I can't wait to see the baby on Wednesday!

  2. Yes, it is sooo weird to be dying of hunger and wanting nothing. Bread and cereal are teh only things I want.
I don't know about you, but nights are worst for me and I can usually sneak in some good protiens and such during lunch, but Kix is usually my dinner.
I can't wait to see pics from tomrrow!!!

  16. Wow 10 weeks!! I realized today that I think I'm 6. I actually have no idea b/c if they counted from the date of my last period I'd have a two year old.

Have you told anyone at work? I'm so worried that everyone is going to figure it out with me. I'm short and thin and I already feel super bloated b/c my dusty ute has nowhere to go! My husband says I look the same but I already feel my pants getting tight.

So, no bloodwork yet. I go to the doctor April 12th after my whirlwind travel two weeks. I don't think this will feel real til then.
