The name game...

I thought for sure when we picked a name for our baby girl, that would be that.

Well....I spoke too soon.

We keep finding names that we like and our name list keeps growing!  The only thing we know for sure is that her middle name will be Bonnie.

Thinking about what we will call our little girl for the rest of her life is a bit daunting.  Nicknames, name meanings, initials, there are so many things to consider!!

So for now, we are back to square one...

  1. Thinking about thinking about names makes me tired already... I work in a school and that doesn't help either! I'm sure you will pick a name that's just right for your little girl:] I like the green in the nursery by the way, can't wait to see the finished product!

  2. I can't say I know from experience, but I've heard that you have to wait until you see them to know for sure.

  3. Oh I totally understand! It is so hard. Our list has been getting longer and longer. We call her multiple different names already. My best friend is a second grade teacher and she has lots of opinions on spellings, nicknames, etc. Like you, we know the middle name for sure but other than that she will be baby girl for a while!

  4. I would gather your top 3 or 5 and then wait until she gets here to see which one fits best? I don't know.. I say that, but I don't know if I could hold out without a decision before then! Oddly, I have had the same girl name and boy name picked out for like 6 months, and we are likely many many months (or more) from even needing them! Was there a name you were totally in love with while you were TTC?

  5. My sisters have switched about 100 times with each baby. I know whatever you pick will be absolutely perfect for her!

  6. what fun news!! here's to the excitment of finding the best name for her :) I am so glad my parents didnt go with their first choice for me- I was supposed to be Darcyann (yes no space!) and they thankfully went with Danielle. I dodged a bullet on that one!

  7. Well, knowing the middle name has to be half the battle, right? I love your flower idea for the nursery by the way.

  8. It has always been easier for DH and I to come up with the boy name rather than the girl name...we actually had about 10 girl names lined up before we found out we are expecting a boy! Lol
    Good luck! :-)
