Update- 39 weeks 3 days and no preeclampsia!

I had my weekly midwife appointment on Tuesday and had high blood pressure (137/92).  They sent me to the hospital to have a non-stress test, blood work and a urine test done.  My blood work came back normal and the baby was great, but I had some protein in my urine.  So all day yesterday I got to save all of my urine in a jug in my refrigerator for 24 hours. If it comes back positive then I will have to be induced.

I am still hoping for this labor experience to be a natural one.  I want to go into labor myself but at this point if it's safer to get baby boy out, I will do that- no question about it.

I called the midwife center this morning and they have the results but don't do call backs until this afternoon. So here I sit waiting...

My test came back normal- no preeclampsia here!!

  1. Hoping that the results came back clear and you can move forward with your original birth plan!! That sucks that they have them, but can't share them with you for a few hours. What's up with that? Hang in there sweetie, everything will be just fine.

  2. Fingers crossed that it comes back negative so you can go into labor yourself!! Either way, I can't wait to see pictures of that baby boy and hear all about it!

  3. Oh no! I will say a little prayer that everything turns out ok so that you are able to go into labor on your own. Labor was a million times easier for me the second time so I will be praying for that for you also! Good luck! Keep us posted!

  7. That's so annoying when they have the results but don't call! Same thing happened to me and my uric acid spiked so that's why I ended up being induced. Prayers for you and your sweet baby!

  8. Ugh, good luck. I hope you don't have pre-e! Waiting for call backs sucks, but at least it's giving your body more time to get that labor moving! :)

  10. Ugg... so sorry to hear this but really hope the tests come back with an all clear. I know it is a tough wait, not knowing what the next step is going to be. :( Whatever happens, I'll be thinking of you and the little one and hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. Hopefully you are able to wait for him to come on his own time, but either way, excited to meet him and wishing you the very best!!! :)

  12. I am SOO happy that the tests came back normal!

Now, let's have a little talk with that baby boy.

    Dear sweet boy,
Please come out of there safe and SOON! I know your mommy is ready to meet you. But most of all, you have the sweetest, most adorable big sister that will give you such good kisses once you get here. Once she lays eyes on you she won't even remember who the heck Mickey Mouse is. If that isn't enough to get you to make your entrance then I guess we will just have to wait for you g-ma's bday. :) Love you baby boy!
