I loved your guest post! I think that having 2 kiddos close is age would be scary because of the unknown of what your days/life will look like with 2. However, if anyone can handle it, you can! You and Steve make a great team and I think putting together a "breastfeeding" bag/bags for Emily will allow you a little downtime to feed baby boy! I also read something about a "Blanket time" on someone's blog once, but I can't remember specifics except the mom "trained" her kid to play on a blanket for 30 minutes, giving her the time to breastfeed. You will be an awesome mom, and I'll be there for you when you feel like you are going to pull your hair out! Lol
Great guest post! I know everyone is different but I found it easier than I had expected to go from 1 to 2. Granted Savannah was almost 4 when Shane was born & that is far different than E being 14 months. You are now an experienced Momma so you know how to care for a newborn and a little more as to what to expect. I would always try to include E in things when you can. Have her help take care of her new baby brother. I think it has been very helpful to us that our new baby was also a boy. I think Savannah never felt like she was replaced by another girl. She may feel less competition since the baby is a different gender. Plus when baby brother gets older he wont want to play with all her girly toys. I would maybe get E one of those corral type baby enclosures for while you are nursing. Savannah always gets into things but she is older so it's nothing dangerous. I went a little crazy when Savannah was born and I was really concerned that it would happen again the second time around. Thankfully it didn't. Going from no children to a new baby is a major lifestyle change. Not as much going from 1 to 2.
Love your guest post. You and your family are going to do just wonderfully with the new addition! I have a couple of friends who are really close in age to their siblings and they loved growing up together as best friends so I think that will be so wonderful for your two little ones. I am so happy for you and your family! :)
I loved your guest post! I commented over there but just wanted to here also. You are going to do great. You are such a great mom and always do the best for Emily. E and baby boy are so lucky to have you and Steve as parents! Love you!
Wonderful adventures ahead, no doubt! You are going to do a great job as you do already, just hope you can work in time to blog because I enjoy catching up with your sweet family when I can... but I'm with you on wondering how to manage just getting a bathroom break since that is hard (for me anyway) with just one sometimes:] So happy for you!
Great post! There are so many unknowns, but you and Steve will get through all of them with flying colors just like you did with Emily!
Great post! Congrats on your first guest post - I think that's a pretty big honor!I am right there with you with Baby #2 - lots of things flying around in my mind, too! But overall, it will be so great for Emily to have a little brother so close in age!
I would love to hear what you have to say!
