Steve and I got an awesome gift this weekend from my brother's soon to be mother in law, K.  It has already been filled with our ultrasound picture and is out for everyone to see.  I had never seen anything like this and I love it!  Thank you again K!

I've been thinking about going to the bookstore to get a pregnancy book but I feel like I might be jinxing myself if I buy anything.  I would really like a book with some detail on what's happening with the baby along the way.

Do any of you have a favorite pregnancy book?

  1. That frame is beautiful! I wish I'd found something like that when I was pregnant with C.

Pregnancy books: as far as baby development, I liked What to Expect When You're Expecting. It was pretty detailed about the changes that were happening.

  2. That's a wonderful gift, very thoughtful I must say.

  3. I love Pregnancy week by week. This is more informational and not a journal, but it is great to read each week.
    It's super easy to read.

  4. I think everyone has personal tastes. I felt like "What to Expect" treated me like a child. I'm in love with my Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy. It tells you what's going on with the baby, with you, and then when to call your doctor (choices are immediately, same day, or bring it up at next appointment) for just about everything under the sun.

But I go to this website often:

It has *lots* of details on development, and some pretty neat little "movies" of certain developmental steps.

  7. What a beautiful gift!! Sorry no book recommendations as sadly I have no experience with pregnancy books, but go on amazon and check out what reviewers say. What I do know is that you should go get yourself one!!! Treat yourself to the joy of each day of this journey- you have worked too long and hard not to revel in the beauty of motherhood!!!
