Here is Miss E dancing away (don't mind the slight shake of the camera from me laughing to myself) How cute are those leg rolls??
And here is her first real attempt at crawling without our help! She doesn't like to see her blocks stacked (she has to knock them down immediately) so we bribed her into crawling by building a tower just off the blanket. This was taken on Saturday and since then she has gotten more coordinated, quicker and she can easily crawl across the room. She is officially mobile!
You'll notice the entertainment center in the video- we have since baby proofed this area because all she wanted to do was beat on the glass and pull out the cable box and DVD player. This is what it looks like now. We took off the entertainment center doors and put the electronics on top where she can't reach them.
We also got rid of the tucker sling this weekend so she is no longer strapped into her crib. There have been some funny incidents where she sits herself up and then can't figure out how to lay back down. She doesn't make a peep, just sits quietly playing with her blankie with this look on her face like, "I'm getting away with something good here!". Little does she know, we are watching and having a good laugh.
Yea go Emily!!!!! That is some good crawling!
ReplyDeleteHow funny, A hates having her rings stacked, it drives her crazy! Whenever she goes over and pulls them off and throws them we yell ANAZCHY!!!!! And she giggles.
Gotta love those leg rolls!
what is it with our girls and destroying stuff?
DeleteWOW!! This was a big weekend for E! That's a pretty dang good "first crawl" if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteAnd E has way more dance skills than Tay. When she does "dance", it looks like Elaine from Seinfeld. (Not sure if you'll get that reference). It's ugly. :)
No way can Tay look like Elaine!! I bet she can bust a move!
DeleteWhat a super busy weekend for Emily! SO proud of her and her milestones! That's awesome she is no longer in her sling and I'm sure she will be trying to pull up and walk holding onto the furniture anytime now! Emily is growing up way too quickly! We must talk 1st birthday party themes soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm just waiting for you to pin all the ideas I need and then I'll copy Aiden's party :)
DeleteYay Emily! I love her dance moves, but I might love her leg rolls even more. :)
ReplyDeleteYou just can't beat leg rolls.
Deleteoh, those legs! love it! she is so adorable!!! way to go on the crawling, too! she's getting so big so fast. :)
ReplyDeletewhen I watch her crawl I think, where did my little baby go???
Deletelove love!! thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeletewhat kind of jumper/exersaucer is that in the background of the living room? it looks like it is a decent size and I am looking for one that isn't toooo gigantic!!!
It's the Fisher Price Rainforest Jumparoo. She LOVED it for a long time but now she's too tall for it, so it's getting packed up for #2!
Deletethe best part is that she makes herself laugh all the time, I love it.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Love that dance video. She is so cute with her booty shake. That is so awesome about the sleep sling. Hopefully full nights sleep and lots of long naps are in the near future. For her & YOU!
ReplyDeleteShe is too cute for words!! Love both videos! :) That is great news that she is out of the sleep sling. I can just picture her sitting there in her crib, quietly, not sure how to lay back down. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteGo Emily! Those are some big girl moves, both dancing and crawling:] So, so sweet! Have fun baby proofing!
ReplyDeleteOh, and the iRoomba- ours is a small one and it does a good job with a daily one room vacuum (about 30 min) as long as I clean it out frequently. It's a pain to make sure cords and little toys are out of the floor but I'd rather do that than pull out the big vacuum every day! I'd rather do anything than pull out a vacuum and/or mop:[ The bigger iRoomba supposedly does a better job covering a larger area and the cool thing about it is that it returns to the docking station to recharge.
Way to go E! The dancing is way cute. Sometimes Blakely still doesn't know to lay back down in her crib. And those chunky legs...GAH!!!
